DW Bureau | Chandigarh, September 28, 2026: The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) concluded the 12th edition of the INS & OUTS Expo with a valedictory session that included the announcement of winners of the ARCHSPIRE architecture competition and recognition of exhibitors in various categories.

Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Secretary Tourism and Managing Director, CITCO, UT Chandigarh, who attended the session as chief guest, said platforms such as the expo provide young professionals an opportunity to interact with industry members and gain exposure to practical challenges.

The ARCHSPIRE competition saw participation from 24 student teams in the initial round, with 10 shortlisted for the final stage. The shortlisted teams were assigned railway stations across India and asked to develop architectural redesign concepts and models.

Chitkara University secured the first position for its concept for Secunderabad Railway Station, while another Chitkara University team stood second for its designs for the Vizag and Vijayawada railway stations. Chandigarh University secured the third position for its redesign concept for Bathinda Railway Station.

The entries were evaluated by a jury comprising architects Kapil Sethia, Manmohan Khanna and Sapna on parameters including creativity, design approach, presentation, functionality and practical applicability.

Exhibitors were also recognised in various categories. Promark won the Best Innovation award, with Mars Power named runner-up. Kairvi Lighting received the Best Display award, while Rajan Industry was the runner-up.

SakarnI was named the winner in the Best Footfall category, while Glass Palace received the runner-up award.

PHDCCI Chandigarh Chapter Chair Rajneesh Bansal and Co-Chair Suvrat Khanna also addressed the session. Regional Director Jigyasa Narula, IEE Lifts Pvt Ltd Director Prabhjot Kaur, industry representatives, architects, students and exhibitors were present.
