Panwar announces Rs 11 lakh for Jind govt college library

The Zonal Youth Festival organized at Government College Jind (Safidon Zone) concluded in a grand and enthusiastic manner. Over the course of this two-day festival, hundreds of participants were given a platform to showcase their artistic talents, creativity, and cultural heritage.
Haryana Development and Panchayats Minister, Krishan Lal Panwar, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest, while the Principal of Government College Jind, Satyawan Malik, presided over the function. During the event, the Cabinet Minister announced a grant of Rs 11 lakh for the college's library and shared the state government's plan to establish e-libraries in 1000 villages, providing children with better opportunities to prepare for competitive exams. The Minister also honored Government College Jind with the Pandit Lakhmichand Trophy for being the top performer.
The Development and Panchayat Minister said that such programs help build self-confidence and social awareness among the youth. He remarked that cultural events inject new energy into young minds, and that when the youth are happy, the country and state move towards prosperity.
He encouraged the participants to learn new things while staying connected to their cultural roots, noting that such programs play a key role in preserving folk art and culture. He urged the youth to engage in literary activities alongside their studies, to enhance their decision-making abilities, and to avoid bad habits. In today's information age, he said, it is important to stay updated with new knowledge.
