Haryana Labour Minister Anil Vij held a meeting with senior officials of the Labour Department here today, and instructed that regular inspections of all factories in the state must be ensured.

He said that violations of labour laws would not be tolerated in any manner and instructed that strict legal action be taken against factories not adhering to labour regulations.

Vij also directed the officials to ensure the protection of workers' rights and ensure effective compliance with all labour laws and regulations. Additionally, he directed that a detailed record of all inspections and activities be maintained.

The Labour Minister also addressed the issue of health insurance and healthcare facilities for workers. He instructed officials that all registered workers should receive health services based on their needs, and emphasized the importance of taking concrete steps to include unregistered workers under the coverage of health services.

Vij reiterated that the safety and health of workers are the government's top priorities. He said that pending payments would be cleared soon in coordination with the Finance Department to ensure workers do not face any difficulties in accessing treatment.

The Minister further directed officials to ensure that industrial institutions display information related to labour laws and worker facilities on notice boards, enabling workers to stay informed about their rights and available benefits.

Additional Chief Secretary Labour Department Sh. Anand Mohan Sharan, Labour Commissioner Sh Mani Ram Sharma and other officials also present in the meeting.
