category Regional, , tags Regional, , DW BUREAU MOHALI: Department of Life Sciences, Rayat Bahra University, under Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education Red Ribbon Club observed World Wetland Day-2024 on theme Wetlands and Human Well-Being by organising Essay Writing, Photography and Pot Painting competitions on the given theme under the convene-ship of Dr Simerjit Kaur, Dean of Students Welfare. Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Rayat Bahra University, highlighted the significance of the wetlands and motivated the participants to restore the quality of the wetlands being deteriorated by anthropogenic activities. Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra appreciated the efforts put in by the students under Educational Social Responsibility. Dr Simerjit Kaur highlighted the need for conservation of wetlands and motivated the students to pay attention towards environmental issues.
