DW BUREAU / chandigarh It was an ambience of happiness and rejuvenation at PGIMER on the day of Lohri as Jammu Dogra Sabha dedicated to social causes, commended the corona warriors for their relentless fight against the pandemic, while wishing them happy and healthy Lohri at an engaging event organised at NHE Block here at PGIMER on Wednesday. Prof. Jagat Ram, Director PGIMER graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Director was accompanied by other dignitaries including Prof. G.D.Puri, Dean (Academics) and Head Deptt. of Anaesthesia Intensive Care, Prof. A.K.Gupta, Medical Superintendent cum Head, Deptt. of Hospital Administration, Kumar Gaurav Dhawan, DDA, Kumar Abhay, FA, Prof. Vipin Koushal, Addl. Medical Superintendent and In-charge Covid Hospital, Prof. Ashok Kumar, Addl. Medical Superintendent many other senior faculty members, nursing officers and healthcare workers who were present there while maintaining social distancing and wearing masks. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Jagat Ram said, "Having over 85 percent of recoveries of severe and moderate COVID 19 positive cases definitely marks a milestone for our front line warriors, giving them a reassurance, a reiteration of faith that their incessant efforts have helped their patients win this battle of COVID-19.
