category Regional, mohali, , tags Regional, mohali, , DW BUREAU MOHALI The University School of Sciences of Rayat Bahra University organized two expert talks on the topic Science in India and virtual mode talk on Research Paper and Plagiarism for the faculty and students. The talks were delivered by Dr Tejvir Singh from Chemistry department, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Dr Arpana Prasad, Associate Professor in Department of Master of Computer Application, New Horizon College of Engineering, Bengaluru, respectively. Dr CP Gandhi, Head of the Mathematics Department from University School of Sciences, welcomed the experts on this occasion. Dr Tejvir Singh emphasized on developing scientific temperament among the youth. He threw light on the contribution of great Indian scientists in the growth of the scientific field as well as supplemented his talk with various examples. He concluded his talk saying, Science is never sufficient to solve a problem completely, it is always necessary. Dr Arpana Prasad explained the ethics in research paper writing along with uses of various search engines by citing examples from different fields. She Parsad also demonstrated how to use Zotero, open-source reference management software that helps researchers to collect, organize and cite sources in their research work. (editor dailyworld.in)
