DW BUREAU / PATIALA Bhai Ghaniya Health Centre of Punjabi University organised Manav Seva Sankalp Diwas (death anniversary of Bhai Ghaniya) in Syndicate Room today. The function was attended by Prof. Arvind, Vice-Chancellor, Dr B. S. Sandhu Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr V K Kaushik, Registrar, Dr G S Batra, Chairman of the Covid Task Force. "Journey of Covid", Video/PPT about the journey of Covid in Punjabi University prepared by Dr. Regina Maini, SMO was released by Prof. Arvind. Prof. Arvind appreciated the efforts made by Dr Regina in making the whole presentation about the Covid Situation and the measures taken by the University Administration from time to time. He appreciated the proactive measures taken by the Health Centre during Covid pandemic and the efforts of the Health Centre in dealing with the health problems in the university. Dr BS Sandhu said the university has been opened in offline mode and 6 Covid vaccination camps have been held. Dr Varinder Kaushik appreciated efforts taken by the Health Centre, Punjabi University, in Covid pandemic. Dr G S Batra said the Health Centre under the headship of Dr Regina has been working very hard, day and night in Covid pandemic and also in any crisis of the university. Covid Warriors of Health Centre were given commendation letters. Dr Regina Maini said since March 2020 many problems were faced during Covid pandemic during closing of the university, during lockdown and curfew days and opening of the university 3 sampling camps, 6 vaccination camps were organised along with health talks. She said she thought of making the whole presentation and after long hard work of about 2 months she could make this whole presentation. She thanked Dr G S Batra,Chairman of the Covid Task Force, for always helping and supporting. She thanked Dr BS Sandhu, Dr kaushik, Dr. Jeji DPR and her team, and the computer centre staff for their support.
