Mumbai, July 1 : Television actress Eisha Singh has shared her views on how television storytelling is evolving with changing times and audiences.

In an exclusive interview with IANS, the actress said she believes that todayâ??s younger generation is playing a key role in shaping the kind of content being created for TV. Eisha also highlighted the importance of socially relevant themes, noting that shows now have a greater responsibility to both entertain and create awareness.

When asked whether television storytelling has evolved significantly over the years and if storylines are changing due to shifting audiences and newer generations, Eisha responded by reflecting on how content today is largely shaped by what viewers want to see.

The â??Ishq Ka Rang Safedâ?? actress mentioned, â??Whatever you watch ultimately reflects what audiences want to see. As times change, storytelling must evolve as well. I also believe this show has arrived at the right moment. There are many people today, across different age groups, who still do not fully understand what autism is. Even among my friends, there are people who are unaware of it. We need to educate ourselves and understand autism properly.â??

Eisha Singh is currently seen playing the main character, Juhi, in the television show â??Juhi Mui.â?? The show centers on Juhi, a brilliant young woman on the autism spectrum who navigates life and societal challenges as she pursues her journey to become a lawyer. It airs on Colors TV and also streams on JioHotstar.

Speaking about preparing for the role, Eisha shared that she spent a significant amount of time researching autism to ensure an authentic and sensitive portrayal of the character.

â??This is a very sensitive subject, so I wanted to approach it with sincerity and responsibility. There are many scenes where dialogues are not the primary means of communication, and the expressions cannot be exaggerated either. Sometimes people on the autism spectrum feel everything deeply but may not always express it in a conventional way.â??
